Happy Father's Day!

We hope everyone had a great Father's Day weekend!  We certainly had a busy one, but full of friends and family, with a little fun thrown in.  It certainly made coming back to work a challenge, but Glenn only has 2 more teaching days left now before exams, so at least one of us will feel a bit of a sigh of relief soon!

On Friday we headed out to the countryside for a retirement party at a HUGE old house.  The friends of the retirees from GW's school were hosting the night, and it was a great one.  Snacks, skits, drinking, dancing.  Very fun :)

Saturday morning we got up and put together a salad and ourselves, and got ready for our weekend trip.   First stop was Toronto to visit Sarah and Trevor and their NEW HOUSE!  Well, we hit up IKEA first to get those extra boxes I needed, and a couple of chairs while we were there.  And THEN, stopped into their new house.  It's super cute, and super big!  We could all immediately spot the potential in the place, each of us impressing our own ideas about renovations and alterations.  It's hard not to do with such a great little house!  Hopefully in the next few weeks, we'll see bits and pieces come together before they really settle in.  That's generally the hardest thing, that I've found; once you settle into a place, it's that much harder to start doing whatever renovations you wanted to get done.

Sarah & Trevor, waving us off!
From Toronto we headed up to Orillia to visit the Waughs for Father's Day #2.  We got to catch up on the latest from that side of the 400, and spent the night.  I realized too late that the neck pain and yawning were actually migraine warning symptoms, so retired to be early.  Poka and Blue had play time that was much overdue, and we headed back to London after lunchtime.

We didn't get a thing done re: reno work, and now really have to get moving so that we don't lap ourselves in start to finish!  Lol.  GRR.  The last little bits aren't nearly as taxing as the start, but I think that's what makes it harder to get done.  We're also on week 2 of our new cleaning regimen, so hopefully that'll stick.  If so, that's at least one step in the right direction as far as I can tell.

Have a great week, folks!
