Oh Canadaaaa - well, 1600+ km of Ontario

We've just returned from doing a tour of some parts of Ontario.  Our province is so huge, you can't possibly do all of it in one trip, but we managed to make a decent circle while visiting friends and family who were gracious enough to let us share their homes over the past week.

We started in Orillia, then to Collingwood, next to Ottawa near Carp, Ottawa near Osgoode, Kingston, and then back home.  It doesn't look like a lot when written out like that, but we sure enjoyed our 1600+ km tour!  Here are some photos of our visits...

Part 1 - Collingwood - lunch at an Italian restaurant downtown, Scenic Caves w/ twin zip line and suspension bridge

Part 2 - Orillia - Island Princess lake cruise, dinner out, shopping downtown, visit w/ family & friends

Part 3 - Ottawa - bonfire, bbq, garlic & puppet festivals, farmer's market, Byward Market, hot & sour soup, Parliament Hill night picnic, MORE friends & family!

Part 4 - Kingston - beautiful bison dinner w/ friends, patio breakfast w/ Pokey, ferry to Wolfe Island

You may have noticed that our dear Pokaroo got to come with us.  She's such a good little traveller, and she too is uber wiped out after all the visiting.

At the start...
... after Ottawa ...
... finished, lol.

  1. What a wonderful journey! And you got some terrific picture memories, too.

Poor Roo! But I'll bet she had a blast, too. Welcome home!
